Over 70 Years’ Experience
It feels like the history of L&L Glass is almost as long at the history of the state itself – so much has grown and changed! We were founded in 1956 by Don and Herbie Hernor. Don and his father, Herbie, worked for Pittsburgh Glass back when they had a manufacturing plant here in Denver. Don always wanted to start his own glass business but did not have the means to do so. After many discussions with good family friends, they decided to help finance his dream. In return, Don named the company after the first initials of the husband and wife – L&L. And the rest is history.
In 2005, Peter French took over the company to fulfil his dream of creating a glass company that could do something hard to achieve – provide white glove serbut kept the name and roots the same. Today we are doing things Don and Herbie could never imagine were possible. We continue to set the bar high and keep the passion for glass in the L&L Glass name.
Innovations in Glass
While L&L Glass continues to grow and innovate in its core focus of shower doors, mirrors and custom interior glass, the company is also taking huge leaps into other glass interior products markets such as structural floor glass and outdoor living spaces. Homeowners and business owners are starting to recognize more and more the beauty and convenience of glass materials to solve many project needs inside and outside of the bathroom. New methods in the fabrication and finishing of glass have opened new doors for glass durability and usefulness and Peter French and team are determined to keep an open mind to push all the boundaries in whatever new challenge can be thrown our way.
